Kyowa Hakko Chemical to Increase Production Capacity of 2-Ethyl Hexanoic Acid.


Tokyo, Japan, Sept 28, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Kyowa Hakko Chemical, a subsidiary of Kyowa Hakko Kogyo, has decided to increase its annual production capacity of 2-ethyl hexanoic acid (octylic acid), a kind of synthetic fatty acid used in a wide range of applications including, refrigerant re·frig·er·ant

Specifically, the company will boost the output capacity of its Yokkaichi Plant from the current 30,000 to 40,000 tons per year by April 2006.

With this move, the company aims to stably supply high-quality 2-ethyl hexanoic acid and to become a leading company in the synthetic fatty acid business.
