TOKYO - All Nippon Airways Co. said it will start its daily round-trip service connecting Narita airport near Tokyo with Seattle on July 25, moving up its initial plan to do so in October or later to capture passenger demand in the busy summer season.

TOKYO - Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. said it will acquire a 24 percent stake in China Post & Capital Fund Management Co., a Chinese asset management firm, for an estimated cost of 10 billion yen from Beijing Chang'an Investment Group Co.

TOKYO - Nidec Corp. said it will begin producing electric motors for automobiles and electrical appliances in December 2013 at its first plant to be built in the Neemrana industrial area near Delhi.

TOKYO - Nissan Motor Co. said it will launch the Cima luxury hybrid sedan in May following a production hiatus of more than 20 months since August 2010.

TOKYO - Major Japanese supermarket chain operator Aeon Co. opened a shopping center in Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, with a wide array of products and services aimed at senior customers, in a move reflective of an increasingly graying society with fewer children.
