Kyocera 200 module gains certification to operate on the Sprint Nationwide PCS Network.

The Kyocera 200 Module was first introduced in August 2003 and since that time, has been powering M2M solutions serving a range of business needs for utilities, automotive and trucking fleet operators, vending operators, facility managers and others. Kyocera's module has also been certified by a number of CDMA network operators outside the U.S. and is currently available in Canada, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand.

The Kyocera 200 Module is designed to enable M2M and telemetry applications such as vehicle location, SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) A process control application that collects data from sensors and machines on the shop floor or in remote locations and sends them to a central computer for management and control. , asset tracking, remote metering or security, wireless vending, exception reporting and wireless point-of-sale terminals. The module is equipped with trimode capability (including AMPS), A-GPS position location capability and support for IS-2000 data rates. Other features and functions include two-way Short Messaging Service (SMS) capabilities; simple and mobile IP; AT command interface; dual UARTs; analog audio; two RF connectors; high-speed packet--and circuit-switched data; and support for both 13k QCELP QCELP QualComm Code Excited Linear Predictive coding
