Kuraray Ltd. will construct a plant for manufacturing Septon/Hybrar styrene sty·rene
n.
A colorless oily liquid from which polystyrenes, plastics, and synthetic rubber are produced. Also called vinylbenzene.

The term is sometimes used technically to distinguish synthetic rubbers and rubberlike plastics from natural rubber.  resins in Pasadena, TX. Plant construction will start in January and is expected to be completed in the latter part of 2002. The plant will have an annual capacity of 26.4 million pounds. The Pasadena plant will be Kuraray's first thermoplastic elastomer plant outside of Japan.
