OTS See Office of Thrift Supervision. : The Kunsthistorisches Museum The Kunsthistorisches Museum (English: "Museum of Art History") in Vienna, housed in its festive palatial building on Ringstraße, crowned with an octagonal dome, is one of the premier museums of fine arts and decorative arts in the world.  is dedicating its major Special Summer Exhibition 2001 to the painter Domenikos Theotokopoulos (1541-1614) better known as El Greco El Greco: see Greco, El. .

What is so special about this wonderful show is that this is the first time a solo exhibition of this significant artist is being presented in a German-speaking area. The work of this outstanding 16th century painter being displayed includes 40 paintings, some sculptures and unusually rare drawings. The exhibition traces his development from the Byzantine icon painter, on through his journeys around the Italian art Italian art, works of art produced in the geographic region that now constitutes the nation of Italy. Italian art has engendered great public interest and involvement, resulting in the consistent production of monumental and spectacular works.  capitals of Venice and Rome right up to his very personal late style.
