Kroll Awarded Substance Abuse Testing Contract by Building and Construction Trades Department.


NEW YORK -- The Substance Abuse Testing division of Kroll, the global risk consulting company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the Building and Construction Trades Department (BCTD BCTD Building and Construction Trades Department

. As part of a newly-implemented National Drug and Alcohol Program under the BCTD, Kroll will provide drug and alcohol testing services to affiliate trade unions within Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) member facilities.

Under the terms of the three-year contract, Kroll will perform all specimen analysis and provide support services such as collection site management. Kroll could conduct a minimum of 250,000 tests annually through the program, which reaches a growing population of over three million construction union members. The program will create a nationwide centralized database of workers, who are pre-qualified to work on participating CURT member job sites. The program is designed to ensure a drug-free workforce in the construction industry, while eliminating duplicate testing and thereby saving time and reducing costs for the benefit of contractors, unions and CURT members.
