Krauss-Maffei adds robots.


Through its recent acquisition of Neureder AG, Krauss-Maffei in Germany (U.S. office in Florence, Ky.) now offers four types of servo An electromechanical device that uses feedback to provide precise starts and stops for such functions as the motors on a tape drive or the moving of an access arm on a disk.  robots.  robots are sized for machines from 110 to 4000 tons. They are integrated with the K-M K-M Krauss-Maffei (German locomotive manufacturer)  MC4 machine control and boast repeatability of 0.1 mm. CB series linear top-entry robots are not integrated with the machine control and are available for various brands of machines from 65 to 5400 tons. They have Bosch/Rexroth controls, Windows NT-based software, and repeatability of 0.01 to 0.04 mm.
