(Keeping up with RIM/Urethanes).Sartomer Co. in Exton, Pa., has acquired worldwide marketing and sales rights for Krasol polybutadiene (PB) products from Kaucuk, a.s. of the Czech Republic Czech Republic, Czech Česká Republika (2005 est. pop. 10,241,000), republic, 29,677 sq mi (78,864 sq km), central Europe. It is bordered by Slovakia on the east, Austria on the south, Germany on the west, and Poland on the north. . Previously marketed only in Europe, Krasol functional liquid PB is used in formulating polyurethanes polyurethanes (pŏl'ēy r`əthānz), group of plastics that may be either thermosetting or thermoplastic. Polyurethane can be made into both flexible and rigid foams. , rubbers, coatings, adhesives, and sealants. Kaucuk reportedly makes PB by a unique process that imparts narrow molecular-weight distribution and no branching. Krasol can be made into polyols with OH functionality no greater than two, which is said to make Krasol the only PB suitable for TPUs. Sartomer plans to integrate the entire Krasol line of more than two dozen grades into its Specialty Polymers Group. This expands Sartomer's extensive PB line, which includes recently acquired Ricon and Poly (language) Poly - 1. A polymorphic, block-structured language developed by D.C.J.
