 and LG Powercom following board approval, Reuters reports. LG Telecom has announced that its board has approved a plan for the three units to merge on 1 January 2010, while the other two units have also reportedly given the green light to the tie-up.

Under the proposals it is understood that LG Telecom will exchange one share for 2.15 LG Dacom shares or 0.74 LG Powercom shares, according to a regulatory filing. The revelation comes just a week after LG had announced plans to seek shareholder approval for the merger, which is expected to create a unified company with KRW KRW
