Konica Receives 'Highly Recommended' Ratings From Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories --BERTL--.

Konica Business Technologies, Inc., the innovation leader in digital imaging solutions, recently received "Highly Recommended" ratings from Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories (BERTL), for its 7020, a 20 page-per-minute (ppm) digital copier/printer for small workgroups, and the 7075, a 75-ppm digital copier/printer for high-volume, print-on-demand environments.

Konica's 7020

The 7020 is an affordable copier with print, fax and scan options designed to meet mid to small-sized workgroups' demands for faster multifunctionality. BERTL noted that the 7020 had "good copy and print speed, a well designed and functional print driver with good finishing options (booklet mode, front and back covers) and good paper options." In addition, BERTL stated that the Konica 7020's "five next-job copy memory is outstanding for this level of product."

Konica's 7075

The Konica 7075 is a document system capable of producing up to 500,000 copies per month at 75 ppm and is designed for high-volume production environments. Also, when configured with soon to be released tandem capability, two 7075s can deliver 150 ppm and up to one million impressions per month, as either a copier or a printer.

BERTL stated, "Konica originally launched their new mid-high volume 75-ppm copier/printer, the Konica 7075, as a copier but have now started delivering the print controller which turns the Konica 7075 into a formidable copy and print capable print room device." After testing the 7075, BERTL also commented that the Konica 7075 maintains: "good duplex productivity, 100-percent engine speed when printing long runs of duplex documents, good job memory capability and job build functionality, auto booklet maker/finishing, trimmer and post process inserter, 200gsm/110-pound paper handling capability from all trays, ledger/A3 paper handling from all trays and functional print options."
