Kodak names Prezzano to post as vice chairman.


ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 18, 1996--Eastman Kodak Company has named Wilbur J. Prezzano, an executive with the company for 31 years, as Vice Chairman, effective immediately.

In this capacity, Prezzano continues as a member of the company's Board of Directors, President of its Greater China Region, and a member of the Policy Committee. He continues to report directly to Kodak CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  George M.C. Fisher.

"As a key member of Kodak's senior management team, Bill Prezzano provides invaluable leadership in a number of major corporate strategic initiatives facing the company and our industry," Fisher said. "As Vice Chairman, Bill will continue to work closely with me as we transition to a new Kodak focused on leadership in both photographic and digital imaging."

Fisher noted that the move is consistent with the formation of the Chief Operating Office, established in September, 1995. That office -- comprised of Fisher as Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

 and Daniel A. Carp and Carl F. Kohrt, who report to Fisher as Assistant Chief Operating Officers -- provides the operational leadership for the company's worldwide businesses. As Vice Chairman, Prezzano will focus on longer term, strategic issues and initiatives.

Prezzano, who is 55, has held a variety of financial, marketing, and general management positions within the company during his career.

Prezzano joined Kodak in 1965 as a statistician, subsequently holding a number of financial positions with various company units. In 1973, he was named to the President's staff. In 1976, he was named General Manager of field operations for the company's Customer Equipment Services Division. Two years later, he assumed the post as Director, Copy Products for CESD CESD cholesteryl ester storage disease. , in addition to his other duties.

In 1979, Prezzano was named Assistant General Manager of the company's marketing division and elected a Vice President. In 1982, he was named General Manager, U.S. Marketing. In 1983, he was appointed to run the company's International Photographic Operations. Prezzano was named General Manager, Photographic Products in 1985, a position he held until he moved to London, England in 1990 to run the company's International Group.

Prezzano was named as President of the company's Health Group in 1991, a position he held until he was named President of the Greater China Region and Executive Vice President in 1994. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 1992.
