Kodak Signs Contract With MedAssets Supply Chain Systems for Secure Email Services.

: EK) announced MedAssets Supply Chain Systems has signed an agreement that makes Kodak's Secure Email Services available to more than 25,000 MedAssets customers.

Under the multi-year agreement, MedAssets' customers may begin purchasing KODAK Secure Email Services (SES) to help expedite secure communications between healthcare organizations and their business partners.

With a seamless approach, Kodak has developed this solution to address all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act of 1996, Public Law 104-191) Also known as the "Kennedy-Kassebaum Act," this U.S. law protects employees' health insurance coverage when they change or lose their jobs (Title I) and provides standards for patient health,  compliance issues for electronic data exchange for both healthcare organizations and their partners such as associated physicians, diagnostic imaging centers, clinics and insurance carriers.

Kodak's innovative software and service encrypts e-mail messages and attachments enabling physicians, patients, providers and other authorized users to share patient information securely over the Internet. SES provides not only email encryption, but a fully integrated solution that includes anti virus, malicious code checks, anti-spam and electronic postmark.

Developed with Aliroo, Ltd., Kodak provides a complete security system to include protection for internal email, inbound and outbound corporate email along with any type of attachment.
