Know the law: sexual harassment webcast Dec. 8.


Definitions of discrimination, harassment and retaliation RETALIATION. The act by which a nation or individual treats another in the same manner that the latter has treated them. For example, if a nation should lay a very heavy tariff on American goods, the United States would be justified in return in laying heavy duties on the manufactures and ; how to detect discrimination, harassment and retaliation; and tools to keep healthy boundaries in the workplace are just a few of the topics to be featured during a webcast Thursday, Dec. 8 by the California CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000.  Education Foundation on preventing sexual harassment sexual harassment, in law, verbal or physical behavior of a sexual nature, aimed at a particular person or group of people, especially in the workplace or in academic or other institutional settings, that is actionable, as in tort or under equal-opportunity statutes.  in the workplace.

The two-hour course complies with the newly enacted California harassment training law, AB 1825, which requires all employers with 50 or more employees to provide two hours of sexual harassment training to each supervisory employee once every two years. Initial training must take place by Jan. 1, 2006.

The webcast will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, 1-3 p.m. and qualifies for two hours of CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) Communications equipment that resides on the customer's premises.
