 health organization are betting most lesbians would rather pucker up for a kiss with a sexy woman than a drag on a cigarette. The Mautner Project for Lesbian Health is partnering with local gay and health organizations on a national stop-smoking campaign called "Delicious Lesbian Kisses," including provocative print ads and kissing booths at lesbian venues where both smooches and smoking-cessation information are offered.

"The kissing booths are a fun way to get out important public health information in a way that isn't boring or preachy," said Amari Sokoya Pearson-Fields, Mautner's deputy director. But their message is clear: Lesbians are much more likely to smoke than their heterosexual peers, and kicking the habit can reduce their risks for cancer and emphysema
