The new agent, a selective alpha-1A receptor blocker developed by Kissei Pharmaceutical, helps improve urethral resistance and alleviate urination disorder.

The agent is scheduled to be available later in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Middle Eastern countries, China, and Korea. Kissei Pharmaceutical aims to generate 40 billion yen ($354.0 mil) in domestic sales and 100 billion yen ($885.0 mil) in global sales in peak times.
