This new technology has been designed to facilitate an increase in participation for non-profit fundraising events. The Association will use the money raised from the web site to underwrite the costs of scientific research into the cause and cure of Parkinson's disease.

Thanks to the new 15th Annual Parkinson's Disease Walk and Fun Run interactive Web site, www.pdwalk@kintera.org, the local chapter will, for the first time, be able to tap expansive audiences and donations via the Internet. The new event Web site takes the traditional aspects of fundraising and event management online. Participants can register for the event and set-up their own personalized Web page to send to their friends and family for collecting donations. Other unique components to this new technology include the opportunity for the nonprofit staff and participants to track contributions for the event in real-time.
