Kintera Employees Take ``Day On'' to Volunteer Time and Technology to Nonprofits on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

SAN DIEGO -- Kintera(r) Inc. (NASDAQ: KNTA), a leading provider of "software as a service" to nonprofit organizations, today announced that on the January 17th Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, the company's more than 400 employees nationwide will take the "Day On" rather than the day off by donating their skills and time to the nonprofit sector. For a limited number of small organizations, Kintera will donate one year of software fees; for larger charities, Kintera employees will volunteer their time.

The "Day On" concept for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is designed to best honor Dr. King's life and legacy by serving others, rather than taking a day off. The concept was created by the King Center for NonViolent Social Change and former Pennsylvania Senator Harris Wofford, a close colleague who marched with Dr. King and introduced him to Mahatma Gandhi.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was established in 1970. In 1994, the King Day of Service - sponsored by Sen. Wofford - was first established by legislation.
