, won first place in the 2005 Kingsville International Young Performers Competitions. Ware will receive a total of $5,900 cash and will perform with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra during its 2005-2006 season. The 24th annual competition awarded more than $25,000 in prizes to young instrumental performers under age 26. There were 230 entries in eight different contests. One hundred thirty-five Adj. 1. one hundred thirty-five - being five more than one hundred thirty

 contestants were invited to participate in the competitions. Contestants represented 42 music schools and 14 foreign countries. The youngest contestant entered was 10 years old; the oldest 25.

Second-place winner in the final competition was 19-year-old clarinetist Georgiy Borisov from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Borisov will receive $3,000 in total prizes and will perform with the Corpus Christi Wind Symphony during its 2005-2006 season. Borisov is studying with Nathan Williams who teaches at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan.

Third-place winner in the final competition was 20-year-old violinist, Celeste Celeste is a woman's first name. Celeste may also refer to:

 Golden, from Dallas, Texas. Golden received $3,200 in total prizes. She studies with Ida Kavafian and Jaime Laredo who teach at the Curtis Institute of Music Curtis Institute of Music, in Philadelphia; coeducational; founded 1924 by Mary Louise Curtis Bok (later married to Efrem Zimbalist) and named for her father, Cyrus Curtis.  in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Three contestants received Honorable Mentions in the final competition. The contestants were: Sun-A Park, 17-year-old pianist, a student of Yoheved Kaplinsky at the Juilliard preparatory program in New York City New York City: see New York, city.

Winners in the Isabel Scionti Piano Solo Competitions, which are held simultaneously with the concerto competitions, were Leo Leo, in astronomy

 Benjamin Svirsky, 16, from Potomac, Maryland, who won the Precollege Piano Solo First Place and Jiyeon Shin, 18, from Oberlin Conservatory in Oberlin, Ohio. Svirsky studies with Irena Orlov, who teaches at Levine School of Music in Washington, D.C.; Shin studies with Haewon Song.

Judges for the competition included Evelyne Brancart and Kemal Gekic, piano; Royce Lumpkin, brass; Brooks de Wetter-Smith, woodwinds; and William Barbini and Gilberto Munguia, bowed instruments.
