:CLX), today announced it will transfer production of Kingsford(TM) charcoal-briquet products from its Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan Moose Jaw is a city in south-central Saskatchewan, Canada on the Moose Jaw River 71 km (45 miles) west of Regina. Clorox plans to close the Moose Jaw facility in December and then offer it for sale. The company will negotiate a plant closure agreement with Local 5917 of the United Steelworkers of America, the union representing the plant's 40 hourly employees.

"But to keep our business healthy and growing, we must strive to operate as efficiently as possible. Closing the Moose Jaw facility will allow us to consolidate production and distribution and reduce costs."

The Moose Jaw facility opened in 1979 and produces Kingsford charcoal briquets, Kingsford Match Light instant-lighting charcoal briquets and Kingsford BBQ BBQ barbecue  Bag single-use, lightable bags of charcoal briquets.
