King discusses bilateral ties with Kuwaiti delegation.

Amman, April 30 (Petra)--His Majesty MAJESTY. Properly speaking, this term can be applied only to God, for it signifies that which surpasses all things in grandeur and superiority. But it is used to kings and emperors, as a title of honor. It sometimes means power, as when we say, the majesty of the people. See, Wolff, Sec. 998.  King Abdullah King Abdullah can refer to:
  • Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, regent of Saudi Arabia since 1995 and king since 2005.
  • Abdullah II, king of Jordan since 1999
  • Abdullah I, Emir of Transjordan (1921–1946) and King of Transjordan (1946–1951)
 II voiced pride in Jordanian-Kuwaiti ties and said he was keen to maintain closer cooperation with the Arab Gulf country in various fields for the interest of both countries.

At a meeting with a Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation on Monday, the King reviewed developments and political changes in the Arab world, adding that challenges facing the Arab nation at this critical stage require activating joint Arab action in order to address these challenges.

The King highlighted prospects for increasing economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, particularly that Kuwait ranks first among Arab countries investing in the Kingdom.

Jordan, he said, is keen to provide all necessary facilities to Kuwaiti investors, protect their investments and encouraging them to contribute to the implementation of mega projects in the energy, transport and water fields.

 told the delegation that Jordan gives utmost attention and care to Kuwaitis in the Kingdom, mainly those studying at Jordanian universities.

Members of the delegation expressed their appreciation of the King's interest to boost cooperation between the two countries.

They also hailed the strong ties between Jordan and Kuwait in various fields.

Kuwaiti investments in the Kingdom, which currently stand at $D10 billion, are concentrated in the fields of medical tourism, ICT (1) (Information and Communications Technology) An umbrella term for the information technology field. See IT.
