King Publishing merges two weeklies to launch daily "Defense Today".King Publishing (Washington, D.C.) has combined two of its weekly defense publications, Defense Week and Navy News & Undersea Technology into a new daily electronic title, Defense Today. An annual subscription costs $1300 for the print or electronic edition and $1500 for a fax edition. Corporate and agency site licenses are available. The company said the new title will cover news and developments "on whatever is driving events, and changing the way we protect and defend" in the defense and homeland security areas. Editorial includes information on companies, programs, agencies, industries, budgets and politics of defense and homeland security issues. King Publishing founder/president Llewellyn King said the frequency change was very important. "With things moving so fast, it is important for us to bring the news to our readers daily. We hope to merge the best of old and new; our traditional intense focus on the matters that interest (readers), while adding the immediacy and freshness that only a daily publication can provide." The company also publishes Space & Missile Defense Report, The Energy Daily, New Technology Week and White Rouse Weekly. |
