King: Jordan a model for religious coexistence.
Amman, Jan. 8 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday received Chairman of the Far East Broadcasting Company in Korea (FEBC-Korea) Billy Kim and discussed ways to enhance religious tourism between the two countries.
The King hailed the company's efforts to enhance understanding and coexistence among followers of different religions, as well as its endeavour to boost religious tourism in the Kingdom and its holy places.
Jordan, the King said, is keen to bolster its position as a model for coexistence between Muslims and Christians as well as the many values highlighted by "Common Word" and the "Amman Message", which aim to maximize common values and enhance dialogue among faiths, peoples and cultures.
The King highlighted Jordan's key efforts to protect Muslim and Christian holy places in Jerusalem and prevent Israel from Judaizing the city and change its identity as a symbol of peace.
