Kinesix Increases Connection Between Real-Time Graphics and Back-End Data with Enhanced Version of KX EDGE.

Kinesix marks latest milestone in bringing .NET graphics to massive data streams

HOUSTON -- Kinesix Software has announced the release of an upgraded version of its KX EDGE product for .NET architectures: KX EDGE Version 1.5.

Understanding complex data in real-time is crucial to keeping up with the flow of business today. KX EDGE, which debuted in its original version in April 2006, allows users to monitor huge volumes of data across a networked user base via sophisticated real-time graphics - without the need to develop or maintain complex proprietary software.

 of the product offers several significant advances that will enable users to sit back and better manage their projects. These features include:

* Enhanced data adaptors

* 3-tier architecture

* Expanded Custom API

"Thanks to our new version of KX EDGE, companies in almost any industry can create and use complex graphical user-interfaces for command-and-control applications with an unprecedented level of ease," said Russ Jamerson, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "The product's fully-realized use of the .NET framework means that users can seamlessly connect a wide variety of back-end data sources through dynamic graphics and data animations."

 end-users that have beta-tested KX EDGE Version 1.5, the product has proven itself to be an easily deployed front-end for command-and-control systems - one that offers both data display and data input through intuitive graphics.

Moreover, KX EDGE requires very little graphics programming and network programming. This allows the user to separate graphics and networking capabilities from the primary command-and-control application, simplifying the overall development and maintenance.

In addition to the added benefits of version 1.5, Kinesix is planning several additional improvements to KX EDGE over the next year, including:

* GIS/mapping component

* Enhanced web base client

* Added security enhancements

KX EDGE builds on the previous successes of Kinesix's flagship dynamic data-visualization product Sammi: a long-standing custom-graphics tool that has been used by more than 250 companies worldwide, including some of the world's largest aerospace corporations such as Lockheed Martin For the former company, see .

"Fortunately, Kinesix's software makes it possible to do just that, offering capabilities that meet very demanding environments."

About Kinesix Software

Kinesix Software is the developer of Sammi, an enterprise and control-room graphics tool used by more than 20,000 mission-command and process-control workers. The Sammi product, which was first launched in 1990, allows users to build custom graphical displays that animate and manage massive volumes of streaming data Data that is structured and processed in a continuous flow, such as digital audio and video. With Sammi, users see full-color dashboards, instead of rudimentary numeric readings or basic, conventional GUIs. While Sammi is often categorized as a graphics product, its real value lies in its proven ability to display live data across a network of command and control systems. Sammi is currently available for Unix, Microsoft NT/2000/XP and Linux platforms. In addition, Kinesix recently released KX EDGE, its next-generation human-machine interface, based on Microsoft's .Net platform. Kinesix is based in Houston, Texas “Houston” redirects here.
