Kimco Realty announces the election of Michael V. Pappagallo as chief financial officer.

Pappagallo was elected chief financial officer of the company.

Pappagallo is currently the chief financial officer of GE Capital's $14 billion Commercial Real Estate Financing & Services business (CREFS CREFS Centre for Research in Financial Services ). In this role, Pappagallo serves as a member of the business Senior Leadership Team and has overall leadership responsibility for all financial and information management activities of the business, which provides funds for a wide range of commercial and residential properties in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe, as well as asset management and other services.

Prior to his tenure at CREFS, Pappagallo has held various positions at GE Capital, including manager of finance for the business development team of the Vendor Financial Services Unit, and as manager of financial reporting & practices in the controller's office. Pappagallo's background also includes nine years at the accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick, where he served as senior manager in the audit group.
