Several months ago, we asked our readers about their collections. Guess what? Many of you have terrific collections. Some of you are numismatists, or coin collectors. Others are bibliophiles, or book collectors. We received so many answers and photos that we became letter collectors! Here's what a few of you said:

"I like to collect roly poly's. I keep them in a big bottle. They grow really big because I feed them and give them lots of love." "My stuffed animal collection." Zack Goyetche, age 5 North Olmsted, Ohio North Olmsted is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 34,113. History
The entire area containing North Olmsted was originally part of the Connecticut Western Reserve.
 

"I collect truck banks from my granddad. They're special to me. I put money in them, and I take care of them." Gregory Castell, age 3 Mentor, Ohio

"I collect books because they are spiffy spiffy - /spi'fee/ 1. Said of programs having a pretty, clever, or exceptionally well-designed interface. "Have you seen the spiffy X version of empire yet?" This was common mainstream slang during the 1940s.

"I like dalmatians. I play with them a lot. " Alyssa Duhe, age 5 Laguna Niguel, California Laguna Niguel is a city located in southern Orange County, California. The name "Laguna Niguel" is derived from the Spanish word "Laguna" which means lagoon and the word "Nigueli" which was the name of a Juaneno Indian village once located on Aliso Creek.  

"I like to collect Hot Wheel cars and trucks. I also have started to collect the Force One aircrafts. My sister has some of her collection in the picture, too." Daniel Farnsworth, age 6, and Melanie Farnsworth, age 3 Garwood, New Jersey Garwood is a borough in Union County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 4,153.

Garwood was incorporated as a borough on March 19, 1903, from portions of Cranford Township and Westfield Town.

"I'm a shell collector. I like shells because they are pretty." Margaret Williams, age 4 East Islip, New York East Islip is a census-designated place (CDP) and a hamlet located in the Town of Islip on unincorporated land in Suffolk County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had only 4,578 households and a total population of 14,078 persons.  

"I like to collect coins. Some coins are from different countries." Mitchell Kinastowski, age 4 Arlington Heights, Illinois Arlington Heights is an affluent village in Cook County, Illinois and a northwestern suburb of Chicago. It is located about 25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. A 2003 Census recount gave the village a population of 76,422, the largest for a village in the United States  

"I collect bottle caps. So far, I have 124 of them!" Danny Feitel, age 5 Summit, New Jersey
