Kids see off Vikings.
More than 70 youngsters from Cumbrae Primary in Millport took part in a new project by Scottish Opera based on the island off the Ayrshire coast.
The kids acted out the Battle of Largs in 1263 when an invasion bid by Norway's King Haakon was foiled.
Other events portrayed in the opera, Millport Song Cycle, included Cumbrae's links with smugglers and its importance as a centre for botanical research.
Residents spent two weeks in workshops and rehearsals for the ambitious opera project.
