Kids remember: Crayola Dream-Makers exhibition reveals dreams, stories, histories. If you could capture your favorite story in a picture, what would it look like? Would it be a memorable family gathering, a wild western rodeo, or a trek up the highest mountain? Would the characters be real or make-believe? Would it take place in your backyard, the inner-depths of the earth, or Never-never land?" Spinning Stories Thousands of students, inspired by the "Tales to Tell" theme of the seventh Crayola Dream-Makers program, were challenged to answer these questions through colorful and revealing artworks. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade interwove words and pictures to become visual spinners of real and imaginary stories. Teachers were encouraged to let their students become the "dream-makers" and visually illustrate their own ideas, thoughts, dreams, and memories.
