Competitors race miniature race cars around a specially designed racetrack, positioning themselves against a sophisticated timing system that pinpoints their time down to a hundredth of a second. The races are free and are open to children ages 7 through 12. At all the Roadtrip sites, SIFK will sponsor a book drive to benefit the local Boys & Girls clubs. A special book drop will be stationed on-site where children will be able to place their used books for dispersal to club locations.
