Kids Helping Kids.

Dear Kids,

I'm afraid of dragonflies, other insects, and lizards, so I back away whenever I see one, and sometimes I cry. This makes my friends call me a crybaby.

Michael Miami, Florida

Dustin

Don't be afraid. Insects are more afraid of you than you are of them. Don't worry about what your friends think. Everyone is afraid of something.

Kaycie

You should not listen to your friends. When they call you scaredy-cat, walk away. Besides, dragonflies and lizards are not scary. I think they're nice because the lizards eat the bugs around here!

Malia

You should stand up for what you think! Try to convince your friends that you aren't so scared. Try not to be afraid of those insects. If you try, I know you will feel better and happier!

Bryan

Don't worry! When I first got to Hawaii, I was horrified by geckos (lizards). But I got over it eventually, and so will you. In the meantime, ignore your friends. You shouldn't care what other people think. Aloha!

Alex

I think you should do some research. Dragonflies and lizards don't bite! When you see something that scares you, think of something you like instead! Also, when your friends are mean, ignore them.
