Keynote Expands U.S. Sales Organization in Response to Growing Market Demands; Top-Level Appointments Sharpen Focus on Meeting Increased Customer Needs.

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 27, 1999

In response to strong market demand, Keynote (Nasdaq:KEYN) the Internet Performance Authority(TM), today announced key executive appointments in its U.S. sales organization.

Keynote has quintupled its base of e-commerce customers over the last year and provided an increasing variety of services to its customers. Chad Roll, formerly general manager of inside sales at Keynote, has been promoted to vice president, U.S. sales. In a separate press release, Keynote also announced today the transition of the current vice president of U.S. sales, Roger Higgins, to build and run international and strategic accounts. Kevin Brown joins Keynote as director of national accounts and David Talovic has been appointed director of service provider sales.

These appointments lay a solid foundation for the company to execute its telesales and national account sales strategies and to drive increased sales through Internet service providers.

Chad Roll, Vice President, U.S. Sales

Chad Roll, 39, is charged with leading the entire U.S. sales organization. Roll has more than 15 years experience in high technology sales, service and education, and is an industry pioneer in software telesales. Prior to Keynote, Roll served as vice president, sales and support, for Elron Software's network management division. He joined Elron from ON Technology (Nasdaq:ONTC ONTC Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (Government of Ontario, Canada)

Roll has been a frequent spokesperson on network management issues at industry events, a contributing author for several trade publications, and a conference speaker for numerous professional associations, including the National Computer Security Association, NetWare Users International See Novell Users International. , and MIS Training Institute.

David Talovic, Director, Service Provider Sales

David Talovic, 38, joined Keynote in March 1997. He has developed and managed many of the company's large customer relationships and has been responsible for building Keynote's business with Internet service providers and web-hosting companies, important components of Keynote's distribution strategy. In his new position, Talovic's responsibilities expand to include application service providers (ASPs) and companies involved in caching, content distribution and streaming media. Prior to Keynote, Talovic spent two years at Ramp Networks (Nasdaq:RAMP) in channel sales and ten years at Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq:SUNW SUNW Sun Microsystems, Inc (former stock symbol; now JAVA)
