KeyLogic Awarded GSA HUBZone IT GWAC, Creates Jobs.

COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 2003

Once again KeyLogic Systems will be creating more jobs in areas that need them most, thanks to the General Services Administration The General Services Administration (GSA) was established by section 101 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (40 U.S.C.A. § 751). ) dedicated to information technology firms certified as Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZones), the GSA HUBZone Information Technology GWAC.

Managed by GSA, the five-year contract enables federal agencies to purchase information technology products and services from pre-qualified IT companies. The contract awards cover seven functional areas with approximately nine awards in each area. The maximum ceiling of the total contract is $2.5 billion.

The HUBZone Program promotes job opportunities in areas of high unemployment. This new contract is expected to help agencies better meet their HUBZone goals, which are 3% of all federal procurement dollars, totaling over $6 billion.

"Agencies have had challenges finding capable technology firms to support their missions. This contract changes all of that," says Cary Landis, KeyLogic Vice President. Cary also serves on the Board of Directors for the National HUBZone Council, which was created to further the HUBZone Empowerment Contracting Program.

KeyLogic's contract award was in functional area three which provides data warehousing and data processing services. KeyLogic's subcontractors on this contract include: Microsoft, SAIC SAIC - http://saic.com. , ATS, CALIBRE, ICF (Internet Connection Firewall) The built-in firewall in Windows XP. It provides a stateful inspection of packets which accepts only responses to requests originated by the user. , COMSO COMSO Command's Standardization Office , GSN, Tygart, and TMC.
