Key reference goes digital.

Transporters will have an easier time researching the weight and dimensions of the equipment they move.

No longer will they need to carry a paper copy of Technical Bulletin 55-46-1, "Standard Characteristics for Transportability of Military Vehicles Military vehicles include all land combat and transportation vehicles, excluding rail-based, which are designed for or are in significant use by military forces.

The Transportation Engineering Agency is creating a digital version of the technical bulletin, available on compact disk or from the Web.

The digital process means a more economical method of distribution, and greater accuracy for users. Revisions to equipment characteristics will be added immediately. The paper copy is only updated annually.

The last paper copy version will be the January edition.

The new digital version will include outsize out·size
