Key Members of Congress to Address NAB2005; Sam Donaldson to Moderate the Event.


WASHINGTON -- The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that NAB2005 attendees will have the opportunity to hear from prominent members of Congress at the Congressional Breakfast, Monday, April 18 in Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. .

Seven members of the 109th Congress will be featured panelists at the NAB2005 Congressional Breakfast held at the Las Vegas Hilton The Las Vegas Hilton is a hotel, casino, and convention center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Senate and House Commerce Committees wield jurisdiction over telecommunications and broadcasting legislation. The House Judiciary Committee oversees intellectual property issues related to broadcasting, such as last

year's reauthorization of the Satellite Home Viewer Improvement Act and legislation related to Internet streaming.

"As television and radio broadcasters face a number of high-profile legislative issues this Congress, this event will shed some light on what the industry can expect out of Washington in the coming months," said John Orlando, executive vice president, NAB government relations.

Former ABC News chief White House correspondent Sam Donaldson will moderate the event.
