Kenyan women lose on East African Community Assembly. (News in Brief).The recent elections of members to the East African Community The East African Community (EAC) is an intergovernmental organisation with plans to form a country called East African Federation [1] with one President by 2010[2] ruling over what were countries of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda. Assembly in Uganda and Tanzania have registered tremendous success for women. The Ugandan Parliament moved beyond the traditional one-third slot constitutionally given to women, to 1:1 male to female regional representation.
