MONROVIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 2001

Addmaster printers used for new headquarters location

Kentucky Farmers Bank of Catlettsburg, Kentucky Catlettsburg is a city in Boyd County, Kentucky, United States. It is the county seat of Boyd County. The city population was 1,960 at the 2000 census. However, the city's postal zip code serves a greater population of 10,029.  announced that it installed Addmaster, Inc.'s IJ6000 ink-jet printers in its new location.

Addmaster, a worldwide manufacturer of ink-jet receipt and validation printers for the financial industry, designed the IJ6000 printer to provide superior output and minimal resource consumption for banks. Its price and performance make it very competitive with impact printers.

Kentucky Farmers Bank, with $125 million in assets, wanted the best possible technology for its new location. The facility will provide full service banking capabilities, including 10 teller stations. "With the investment in the new facility, quality was of the utmost importance," said Shawn Heck, CIO CIO: see American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations.

"Alltel provides our teller automation, so when the time came to make a purchasing decision about teller printers, we asked them what printer would work best with the software. For both performance and compatibility reasons, Alltel suggested that we consider Addmaster's ink-jet printer."

Addmaster's IJ6000 uses Hewlett-Packard's new C6602A print cartridge which eliminates faded receipts and increases the printer's speed and efficiency while improving optical density. According to according to

bank officials, "Many of our customers save receipts for their records, so having a readable receipt is important to them, and therefore important to the bank.

"When we first installed teller automation software, we used impact printers, which were the best technology at the time. Today, ink-jet printers offer the most advanced teller line printing hardware. Our tellers prefer the Addmaster printer because it is smaller and quieter. Now, teller printers aren't a concern; we know the quality is consistent, and the noise level is never going to be an issue."

Vice President of Addmaster Hugh Clary clary: see sage.  said, "In banks today, counter space is at a premium. Quality service is essential to customer retention. That's why we designed the IJ6000 with the smallest footprint in the industry and made it quiet enough to eliminate distractions and promote customer interaction. The quiet operation, fast form handling, reduced energy consumption and easy to change cartridges are just a few of the reasons why one in three tellers uses an Addmaster printer."
