Peter L. DiCapua is the chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

 of Atco Properties & Management, Inc, a full-service real estate company, which is headquartered in Manhattan and owns and manages a diverse portfolio of real estate in six states.

Atco manages a diverse portfolio, comprising commercial, residential, retail, industrial and flex properties, in addition to investments in eight major European retail centers.

Currently, the company is focusing on redevelopment of a 25-acre privately owned parcel of land in Glendale, Queens, known as "The Shops at Atlas Park.".

A licensed real estate broker and engineer, DiCapua has played an integral role in the growth of Atco, including developing its in-house construction subsidiary that provides commercial and residential construction work for all the Atco properties and other prestigious clients.

DiCapua has served the community as well as the real estate industry for more than 34 years and is well respected for his charitable and philanthropic activities.

He is involved with professional associations including REBNY's Board of Governors, the New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 Building Congress and BOMA Boma (bō`mə), city (1984 pop. 197,617), Bas-Congo province, W Congo (Kinshasa), on the Congo River estuary. A port and railhead, it exports tropical timber, bananas, cacao, and palm products. .

He is active on the board of civic associations including the Long Island Catholic Youth Organization A Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is an organization for young Catholics. He is a member of the Queens Library Foundation Board of Directors, and served as chairman of LaGuardia Community College LaGuardia Community College is a City University of New York (CUNY) community college located in Long Island City in Queens, New York. It is named for former New York City Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia.  Foundation Board. DiCapua is chairman of the Empire Ball, which is sponsored by the real estate division of the Diabetes Research Institute, of which he is a Board Governor.

The Diabetes Research Institute is recognized as a world leader in cure-focused research and a pioneer in islet cell transplantation Islet transplantation is the transplantation of isolated islets from a donor pancreas and into another person. It is an experimental treatment for type 1 diabetes mellitus. .

Through its groundbreaking work, a number of patients are now living insulin free after receiving a transplant of these insulin-producing cells.

A graduate of S.U.N.Y. Maritime College with a degree in Engineering DiCapua served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy/Merchant Marine (M.S.T.S.).
