President Dave Blewitt said Kendall plans to gut and then extensively renovate the building in preparation for moving its Subaru dealership to the location before May. "That building hasn't been remodeled much since it was a Volkswagen dealership in 1965," Blewitt said. "It's long overdue." Kendall moved its Honda and adjoining Acura dealership to its new 116,740-square-foot auto mall in October. The Subaru dealership will operate out of the former Acura buildings until the renovation work is complete, Blewitt said. "Subaru has outgrown that (Seventh Avenue location) in a bad way and we need the room." Even then, the Kendall shuffle won't be over. Once the Subaru franchise relocates to Coburg Road, Kendall will move its Hyundai dealership from Cottage Grove Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965.
