Kenati Technologies announced the release of its NP suite of Platforms running on Freescale's MPC8323E PowerQUICC(TM) II Pro family of integrated communications processors containing a PowerPC(R) core. The MPC8323E processor family is designed to deliver higher CPU CPU

performance, newer functionality and faster interfaces for the digital home and SOHO Soho (sōhō`, sə–), district of Westminster, London, England, known for its continental restaurants. Once a fashionable quarter, it became popular among writers and artists in the 19th cent.  markets. The MPC8323E integrates an e300 PowerPC core with a single-RISC core version of QUICC QUICC Quad Integrated Communications Controller  Engine(TM) technology that supports a wide range of protocols including ATM, Ethernet, TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) A technology that transmits multiple signals simultaneously over a single transmission path. Each lower-speed signal is time sliced into one high-speed transmission.  and HDLC (High-level Data Link Control) A data link protocol from ISO for point-to-point communications over serial links. Derived from IBM's SDLC protocol, HDLC has been the basis for numerous protocols including X.25, ISDN, T1, SS7, GSM, CDPD, PPP and others. .

Kenati's NP platform leverages the QUICC Engine communications capability to ensure rapid development and flexibility to accommodate new standards and evolving system requirements To be used efficiently, all computer software needs certain hardware components or other software resources to be present on a computer system. These pre-requisites are known as (computer) system requirements and are often used as a guideline as opposed to an absolute rule. . In addition, the NP platform supports the MPC8323E's integrated security engine to provide hardware acceleration for the DES, 3DES, AES, SHA-1 and MD-5 algorithms. The combined solution makes it suitable for a wide variety of network communication applications such as SOHO routers, residential gateways and VPN (Virtual Private Network) A private network that is configured within a public network (a carrier's network or the Internet) in order to take advantage of the economies of scale and management facilities of large networks.  routers.

Kenati has a longstanding relationship with Freescale and offers extensive support for its entire line of PowerQUICC processors. Kenati supports the entire PowerQUICC line of processors including PowerQUICC I, PowerQUICC II and PowerQUICC III processors. On the MPC8248, Kenati's NP VPN achieved industry-leading packet performance numbers of more than 20,000 packets per second for IPSec Forwarding. Each of these processors has been used in a broad range of home networking applications and solutions in the field.

For the past three years, Kenati's relationship with Freescale has been generating traction in the industry and the combined solution is being deployed at multiple customer sites. Andy Chinmulgund, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Kenati Technologies, stated that "Freescale is a significant partner for us and we have benefited tremendously from their breadth of products, application expertise, and willingness to partner on opportunities. I believe that there is immense potential in this relationship and we will continue to provide software solutions that leverage the strengths of these processors."

Freescale has found that working with Kenati is extremely advantageous because Kenati's software adds considerable value to Freescale's silicon and provides a complete solution for the equipment manufacturer.

"The combination of PowerQUICC processors with integrated security and Kenati software provides a compelling platform solution for our customers," said Jeff Timbs, marketing director for Freescale's Digital Systems Division. "The combined solution offers cutting-edge encryption acceleration software technology along with high- performance, cost-effective processors for the consumer/SOHO networking market."
