The newly-developed device, which is based on infrared spectrometry, can measure blood components by allowing a patient to simply expose his finger to infrared light. Specifically, the system can provide various blood data including blood glucose, GPT GPT glutamic-pyruvic transaminase; see alanine transaminase.
