Keeping companies in the security picture.

Byline: Helen Logan

From its roots as an electrical installer, Stokesley-based Aceda is continually extending its technological capabilities.

It expanded into cabling and networking in the 1990s and now, with help from Business Link York and North Yorkshire, it has now grasped digital internet based CCTV technology.

This gives firms the ability to monitor their premises from anywhere in the world, and grant site access remotely with the click of a mouse.

According to managing director Nick Harker, the move is a natural progression for the business, building on its existing networking and cabling design and installation expertise.

Andy Barton, Business Link York and North Yorkshire adviser, has worked with Aceda on a number of projects during the last three years.

He said: "This latest project has been particularly fascinating."

As Aceda continues to grow, Nick is looking at how Business Link can help support the ongoing development of the company: "We're always looking to see how we can improve our customer service through process efficiencies and staff development.

"We are very busy right now with this latest development, but I'm in no doubt that I will be calling on Andy again before long," he added.
