The Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) is a handheld GPS receiver used by the United States Department of Defense and select foreign military services. It will display software version 984-3006-001. If you're not sure which version of the DAGR you have, check the label under the battery pack. To check the AN/PSN-13, turn the DAGR on and press the MENU key twice. Select SYSTEM from the main menu and then select ABOUT. The screen will show you the installed software and that should be 984-2461-011. If it is, march on, soldier. If not, you need to reprogram your DAGR. Get on the Internet and go to: https://rdit.army.mil/GPS Click on DAGR MWO/TCTO and Software. Now, click on Download Software. Use the CLICK HERE link at the top of the page to apply for access to the website. You should be approved within 24 hours. Once approved, enter the website and download the current software and upgrade your DAGR. Remember, reprogramming erases user and satellite data so save any critical data before you start.
