TUCSON -- Walt Staton, a volunteer with Arizona's No More Deaths, faces a year in prison after his June conviction for "littering." His crime? Staton deposited reserves of clean drinking water drinking water

supply of water available to animals for drinking supplied via nipples, in troughs, dams, ponds and larger natural water sources; an insufficient supply leads to dehydration; it can be the source of infection, e.g. leptospirosis, salmonellosis, or of poisoning, e.g.
 in the Buenos Aires Buenos Aires (bwā`nəs ī`rēz, âr`ēz, Span. bwā`nōs ī`rās), city and federal district (1991 pop.  National Wildlife Refuge National Wildlife Refuge , where undocumented migrants often make a perilous desert crossing (see stats below).

The group vows to continue to provide aid to migrants and "to do our part to clean up the desert."
