Kadant Black Clawson Inc., a subsidiary of Kadant Inc., was recently recognized for its 130 years in business by Ohio Governor Bob Taft and the Ohio House of Representatives Ohio has a bicameral legislature, the Ohio General Assembly, consisting a House of Representatives and Senate (the Ohio State Senate), based on its constitution of 1851. The House of Representatives first met in Chillicothe on March 3 1803, under the later superseded constitution . Letters of recognition were presented by Rep. Thomas A. Raga to Kadant Black Clawson President Peter J. Flynn. The ceremony took place at city council chambers in Mason, Ohio, where the business is based. It features a unique semi-open rotor design that allows installation with fine slotted screens for maximum screening efficiency. The tissue operation will use the CH screen to recover useful fiber in the mill's broke system that operates at a capacity of 100 tons per day. KBC received an order from Lee & Man Paper International Ltd., China, to supply paper recycling equipment for its new mill in Changsu near Shanghai. The equipment is part of a major expansion project that will double the mill's production. The project includes a new corrugating medium stock preparation system and a broke system.
