Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Establishes Logistics Center in Washington State.


Tokyo, Japan, Nov 24, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Universal Warehouse Co., a California-based group company of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha that was formed in 1986, has opened its new logistics warehouse in Auburn, Washington Auburn is a city of 40,314 (2000) located in the U.S. state of Washington, in King County with some spill-over into Pierce County. Though founded before either Seattle or Tacoma (Seattle metropolitan area) had suburbs, Auburn is now often thought of as a suburb of these two cities. , which is located midway between Tacoma and Seattle. With its floor area totaling 5,600m2, the warehouse is equipped with crime prevention systems, such as 24-hour video surveillance, burglar BURGLAR. One who commits a burglary. Universal Warehouse will leverage "K" Line Total Logistics, the "K" Line group's service brand, to offer various logistics services including transloading, crossdocking, storage, distribution, as well as other value-added services A value-added service (VAS) is a telecommunications industry term for non-core services or, in short, all services beyond standard voice calls and fax transmissions.  such as pick and pack, distribution arrangement based on orders, product and quality inspections.
