Kaufman honored by Fashion Center BID.The Fashion Center Business Improvement District has honored its Board Chairman, George Kaufman, for his long-standing support of the fashion industry and leadership on local economic development issues. The BID presented Mr. Kaufman with a framed historic timeline of the BID at its annual membership meeting held on April 21 at Stitch Bar, located on West 37th Street in Manhattan. "George has shown un-rivaled leadership when it comes to supporting the fashion industry and the BID," said Barbara Blair Randall, executive director of the Fashion Center BID. "We are honored to be working side by side with George as we continue enhancing the Fashion Center's image as a center of commerce and artistic and cultural life, as well as an emerging residential neighborhood."
