:KAS) Friday announced that one of its subsidiaries, Kasler Corp., was the apparent low bidder on a $31.6 million freeway project to widen Route 60 in San Bernardino San Bernardino, city, United States

Work entails the widening of Route 60 starting at the interchange of Routes 15 and 60 and extends 10 miles west toward Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. . Work includes the widening of 13 existing bridges and the construction of two new east/westbound lanes, one of which will be a High Occupancy Vehicle lane. Additional work includes the construction of 24 sound walls.

Construction should begin in March 1995 and is expected to be completed in the winter of 1996.
