For the third year in a row, the award-winning Aussie Alt-country/pop crossover phenomenon has been nominated for the prestigious ARIA Award in her native Australia. Only this time, she's up for 6 of them. She is one of very few artists to have been nominated in 6 different categories which include: "Album of the Year," "Best Country Album," and "Highest Selling Album" for her current release, BARRICADES & BRICKWALLS. Meanwhile in America, THE CAPTAIN had placed on over 50 "Best Of" and "Top Ten" lists that year including Rolling Stone's "Top 50 Albums of the Year 2000" and the annual Village Voice sponsored "Pazz and Jop" poll.
