The operational (will it work?), economical (costs and benefits) and technical (can it be built?) aspects are part of the study. Results of the study determine whether the solution should be implemented. . Drilling programs Karmin recently reported the results of Votorantim's Phase 1 drilling program, consisting of 8,682 metres of drilling in 22 holes. Eighteen of twenty-two holes intersected massive sulphide mineralization, with the best intercepts including 48.4 metres with 13.2% zinc and 14.6 metres with 18.5% zinc (see Karmin release of 27th September 2005). The second phase, a 15,000 metre drill program, is underway with three rigs drilling and a fourth being moved to the area. At the end of September 2005, 2,917m in 13 holes had been completed, for which assay results are pending. A total of 10,000m of drilling is expected to be completed by the end of December, with the remaining 5,000m scheduled for early 2006. Since becoming operators on the project, Votorantim have re-logged all the old drill holes and a new geological model is being constructed. Karmin has been informed that Votorantim expect to deliver a new resource estimate for the project in early 2006. Regional geochemical surveys A new regional soil geochemistry survey is being carried out over the entire 25 kilometre long volcanic sequence that hosts the Aripuana massive sulphide deposit. This program will investigate the possibility of additional mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. To convert to a mineral substance; petrify. 2. A regional stream sediment sampling program is also being carried over the 30 kilometre long volcanic sequence between the towns of Aripuana and Tutilandia to seek new zinc-copper prospects.
