Karcher with Futuretech.
Germany's Karcher reports that its new NBC protective suit,
the Safeguard 3002-A1, is made from a homogeneous filter material which
provides a light weight and advanced protective properties. The Canadian
Army has recently ordered 15,000 of the suits to augment the
approximately 30,000 already in sin-vice. The 3002-A1 consists of one
activated carbon and several textile layers that provides nuclear,
biological and chemical agent threat protection as well as a proprietary
aerosol protection feature. The company will release a lightweight
version of the suit presumably later in 2007.
