Kaplan launches home buy-back program.


Kaplan Properties could be in line for a rush on sales at its New Jersey developments.

The firm is offering to buy back any of the homes it sells to owners who then find themselves in dire straights.

"As of this week, we are promising that our company will buy back any home we sell--at the price paid--at any time in the next three years should the market price of that home fall," said Jason Kaplan, president of Kaplan Companies. The limited-time-only program also promises that, if a homeowner purchases a Kaplan home and then loses his or her job within the next three years, Kaplan will pay the mortgage for up to one full year or, pay closing costs Closing Costs

When a business refinances they typically extend the maturity date.

Certain conditions apply and the offer is limited to the next 60 sales.
